The new tools from Knight have been modified. A lot of us do not use the tool anyway... as mentioned the ratchet and socket seem to be most popular. I think you can see a setup in these pictures.

Dec 18, 2015 · Have a Knight with a slotted breech plug and no Combination tool. The nipple is for #11 percussion cap and is not hex, it has 2 flat sides. I removed the breech plug with a drift punch and careful taps. The slots are in good condition. I did not try to remove the nipple because the nipple and plug looks like it might be one piece.

Needless to say, getting the original plug out was a long, white knuckled affair but it finally came out... in 3 large pieces. To avoid this, I currently remove the plug for cleanup/maintenance every 15-20 shots. When reinstalling, I currently use Loctite LB8150 Anti-Seize compound. It works great, but is messy.

Not really worried about the dirty part of it but I am going to get a fine scope, mounts, and accessories to hopefully make it a tack driver. If an alternative breech plug could help Id like to get one.

The breech plug is threaded for a 1/4-28 screw, and I made the thread of the fitting for the 209 primer to fit in the original breech plug. I fired the rifle using both the 11mm cap and the 209 primer, and they both functioned well.
